World’s largest Gay Pride flag hoisted in Venice, California.

The world’s largest Gay Pride flag is waving over Venice Beach. The 1,410-square-foot flag was hoisted Friday morning as part of an opening ceremony of Venice Pride. Previously, the largest Gay Pride flag measured 1,033 square feet and soared over Nelson Mandela Bay in Port Elizabeth, South Africa.

Supreme Court sidesteps major ruling in Masterpiece Cakeshop case.

The Supreme Court issues a narrow ruling today in Masterpiece Cakeshop that does NOT create a license to discriminate against the LGBTQ community. Many stories are coming out about this, but it seems that they ruled on the merits of this specific case and did not rule in favor of LGBT discrimination based on religion. YouTube is currently running “anti-LGBT” ads.

It’s officially the beginning of Pride month, however the celebrations at YouTube appear to be lukewarm at best. The video streaming platform, which has long been a haven for independent LGBTQ+ creatives, has recently been accused by users and channels of running advertisements by anti-LGBTQ+ brands against creator content.

Hundreds of thousands attend the world’s largest Pride parade in Brazil.

This year’s parade focused on Brazil’s national elections scheduled for October. The theme was ‘Power for the LGBT — Our Vote, Our Voice’. Hundreds of thousands of people gathered in Brazil’s largest city Sunday for its 22nd gay pride parade, which is considered one of the world’s biggest.
