The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has officially acknowledged that people living with HIV whose treatment has brought their viral load to an undetectable level cannot transmit HIV to their sexual partners.With this statemement, the CDC validates hundreds of other experts and HIV organizations that have signed on to a consensus statement recognizing undetectable HIV-positive people (nearly half of those living with HIV in the U.S.) are not able to pass the disease to others.
