A tweet expressing what so many are thinking.

A tweet about gay culture with a heartbreaking twist has gone viral for the best reason. The tweet, which was only written yesterday but has since been retweeted nearly 30,000 times was written by a man from the US. “Gay culture is being a teenager when you’re 30 because your teenage years were not yours to live,” he wrote.

The challenges of a gay marriage.

“While there are lots of books about how to plan your gay wedding, there are virtually none that address what to do after the honeymoon is over,” begins author and psychotherapist Michael Dale Kimmel. After seeing hundreds—maybe a thousand—gay couples wrestling with the institution of marriage, he came to recognize that two men in a marriage have different needs and different dynamics than heterosexual and lesbian couples. “There are a lot of aspects of heterosexual marriage that don’t work particularly well for us.

Are lesbians responsible for the Houston floods?

Some of the right wing commentators most desperate for attention blamed the Houston flood on its lesbian former mayor. Among them floating that brilliant theory was Ann Coulter. She, like the Rev. Bobby Jeffress of First Baptist, have been largely marginalized by mainstream media for their stupid comments and have learned that to get the attention they thrive on, they have to say stupider and stupider things.

Should schools biased against LGBT students receive government funding?

The Illinois Legislature last week approved tax credits for donations to private school scholarships, but failed to protect vulnerable children and minority employees. Illinois must exclude from the scholarship program schools that discriminate against the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender community. So how did he come to die alone in his apartment?

Trump’s ban on transgender recruits is ‘about normalizing hate,’ says Chelsea Manning

Chelsea Manning, the U.S. military’s most famous transgender service member, accused President Trump of “normalizing hate” by issuing a directive banning trans recruits. The former Army intelligence analyst took aim at the policy change from her widely-followed Twitter account Friday shortly after it was reported that Mr. Trump signed a directive banning the Department of Defense from recruiting transgender individuals into the armed forces on the heels of announcing his intentions in a tweet of his own last month.

The need for more gay professional athletes.

As an openly gay male athlete in a pro team sport, I feel like a distinct minority and wish more athletes would take the plunge and come out. I am from Canada and play pro volleyball and it hasn’t been easy being openly gay. Volleyball isn’t as high profile as some of the other major sports throughout the world and especially in North America, so I feel that my impact is limited to the volleyball community. But I think my experiences as a team sport athlete are not unique.
