A little white paint won’t mute this rainbow crosswalk.

A rainbow crosswalk was splattered with white paint shortly after it was installed in Tucson, Arizona, but residents say they are not letting the incident rain on their parade. Residents found the colorful sidewalk and areas around it damaged early Tuesday morning. A 20-ounce cup that contained paint was also found near the splatter, said Mike Graham, spokesman for the city’s transportation department.

Latino legislators fighting for LGBT rights.

For the first time in its history, the National Hispanic Caucus of State Legislators (NHCSL) has taken a bold stance on two issues directly related to correcting chronic injustices committed against Latinos and many other Americans. NHCSL today approved two separate resolutions calling for the decriminalization of cannabis at the state and federal levels, as well as for stronger protections against workplace and service discrimination against the LGBTQ community.

Blame it on the gays – This time for JFK’s assassination.

In 1969, New Orleans District Attorney Jim Garrison prosecuted Clay Shaw for allegedly conspiring to kill President John F. Kennedy. Garrison espoused that theory after investigators founds whips, chains, and leather regalia inside Shaw’s residence.

Women against H8 in Texas

Earlier today I joined with women from across Texas who traveled to Austin to stand against bills pending in the Texas legislature that seek to make discrimination against transgender Texans the law of our state. As a mother, Texan, Board member of the Human Rights Campaign and an ally of the LGBTQ community, I know these bills are unwise and un-American. If passed, they would hurt Texas and Texans in myriad ways, for no good reason beyond the desire of certain political “leaders” to “win” by summoning division and prejudice.
