Fighting for love in Australia.

For Brisbane mother Shelley Argent, the reason for Australia to legalize same-sex marriage is quite clear. “I have two sons, one straight and one gay,” Argent told NBC News. “I want them to both have the same rights, responsibilities and privileges as each other. Will SCOTUS back Trump’s workplace bias?

In July, when the Justice Department officially parted ways with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in a brief arguing that the Civil Rights Act does not preclude workplace discrimination based on sexual orientation, former Obama Justice Department official Justin Levitt told me the split was “profoundly weird,” since both the EEOC and the Justice Department have a role in enforcing employees’ federal civil rights.

HRC monitors Trump Judicial Court nominees.

All have records that raise concerns about how they would protect the civil rights of all Americans – including and especially LGBTQ people.
