Trump administration sides with anti-gay baker.

In a major upcoming Supreme Court case that weighs equal rights with religious liberty, the Trump administration on Thursday sided with a Colorado baker who refused to bake a wedding cake for a same-sex couple. The Department of Justice on Thursday filed a brief on behalf of baker Jack Phillips, who was found to have violated the Colorado Anti-Discrimination Act by refusing to created a cake to celebrate the marriage of Charlie Craig and David Mullins in 2012.

I was told that questions were OK, but my parents taught me to bristle at any inquiry that would make me the face of my faith. President Donald Trump’s decision to ban transgender people from serving in the military is a disgraceful move that reveals his prejudice and ignorance. The president’s directive is tragically reminiscent of the objections made by those who also opposed the addition of African Americans, women, gays and lesbians to the military. Despite these objections, our army has integrated and grown stronger.
