Trump’s transgender troop ban has been blocked…for now.
U.S. District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly in Washington has blocked Trump’s transgender troop ban. According to the Judge, this the ban is a form is discrimination based on gender and is already causing harm to personnel. The Advocate’s protection of Kevin Spacey.
The Advocate, one of the cornerstone publications for the LGBT community, is now finds itself in the cross hairs for a failure in reporting accusations against Kevin Spacey in 2001. Even though they published a story about the incident at that time, they redacted Kevin Spacey’s name. The 2022 Gay Games are heading to Hong Kong.
Beating out bids from Mexico and the United States, Hong Kong was selected as the host city for the 2022 Gay Games. LGBT rights are on the upswing in Asia and this continues the support for this part of the world. Marriage equality still not available in Northern Ireland.
Northern Ireland is still behind the times when it comes to same-sex marriage.
