Northern Ireland is still behind the times when it comes to same-sex marriage. Their neighbors (England and Wales in 2014, Scotland in 2015 and the Republic of Ireland in 2015) have passed marriage equality laws, but because of political maneuvers in the Northern Ireland Parliament, the citizens of Northern Ireland are still waiting.
