The only team who have had players come out as gay is the LA Dodgers. Glenn Burke and Billy Bean both came out after their tenure with the team, but to date, no current MLB player has come out. These two players had different lives after coming out. A lifetime of having body issues along with the constant attack on the community leads to depression and other mental health issues. The Isle of Wight has been chosen to host the second UK Pride event. The island beat five other bids to hold the festival, which celebrates the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community. Organisers said up to 80,000 people are expected to attend the event next July.
