California poised to elect the State Senate’s first female, lesbian president.

Sen. Toni Atkins is poised to become the first woman to lead the state Senate, receiving support from the Democratic caucus to replace Sen. Gay Ugandan activists rebuilding their lives in Utah.

CDC reports HIV diagnoses occur sooner after infection.

HIV is being diagnosed sooner after infection than previously reported, according to a Nov. 28 press release issued by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. According to the release, there was a 7-month improvement over a 4-year period, from a median of 3 years and 7 months in 2011 to 3 years in 2015. Read the full article HERE.
