Washington State Senate passes ban on conversion therapy for LGBT youth.

The Washington Senate has passed a bill seeking to ban therapists from trying to change a minor’s sexual orientation. Senate Bill 5722 passed on a 32-16 vote Friday and now heads to the House. The measure would deem it “unprofessional conduct” for a licensed health care provider to perform conversion therapy on a patient under the age of 18.

Transgender military academy grads could join ranks quickly.

Transgender graduates of the military’s service academies have a clear, quick path to military careers under the new policy the Pentagon established Jan. 1, according to a former senior Defense official and experts. In 2017, there were at least two academy graduates who did not receive commissions to become officers because the Pentagon lacked a policy for accepting transgender troops.

The movies were taken in 1945. St. Louis filmmaker Geoff Story has begun weaving the films into a documentary, “Gay Home Movie.”
