Community Colleges are an increasingly useful and affordable steppingstone for students beginning their college career. Point Foundation (Point) encourages lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) community college students who are planning to transfer to a four-year degree program to apply for its Community College Scholarship Program.

Some churches add glitter to the gray on Ash Wednesday to show unity with LGBT community.

A smudge of char in the shape of a cross on the forehead on Ash Wednesday is a reminder for Christians of two human themes that unite them: Everybody sins and everybody dies. As they enter the season of Lent, some believers are sprinkling glitter into their ashes to signify that everybody’s equal in God’s eyes, too, including those who are lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender.

Rippon olive branch to Pence over Olympic gay controversy.

Adam Rippon said he would be prepared to meet US Vice President Mike Pence after making history on Monday when he became the first openly gay US man to compete at a Winter Games. Rippon had criticised the choice of Pence as leader of the US delegation to the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics.

Don’t expect to get married on a cruise ship registered in Bermuda.

Gay travel specialists have described Bermuda’s repeal of same-sex marriage as “disastrous”, and warned that the country’s economy will be damaged as a result of the ban. A Supreme Court ruling last year authorized gay marriage in Bermuda, which also applies to cruise ships registered there.
