Anti-LGBT First Amendment Defense Act reintroduced in Senate.

Republican senators have reintroduced the First Amendment Defense Act, which if it becomes law will give the federal government’s blessing to discrimination against LGBT people and others in the name of religious beliefs about marriage and sexuality. U.S. Sen. Mike Lee of Utah and 21 GOP colleagues today introduced a new version of the bill, The Hill reports.

NFL prospect Derrius Guice says teams at Combine asked him if he’s gay.

If the NFL was worried about concussions as much as it is about the sexual preference of young players, it would be the safest game on the planet. At the NFL Combine, prospects continue to be probed for homosexual tendencies. LSU running back Derrius Guice said one NFL team asked him last week if he likes men last week and another asked if his mother is a prostitute.

Deep in the heart of Texas – LGBT candidates make history.

Ten LGBTQ candidates from Texas who were in contested primaries advanced to either runoffs or the general election on Tuesday, March 6, including one for governor and four for Congress. Fourteen openly LGBTQ candidates lost their primary races, reducing the state’s record number of out hopefuls from 49 to 35 heading into May 22 runoffs.

Ben Carson strips anti-discrimination language from HUD statement.

Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson has removed anti-discrimination language from the agency’s mission statement, the latest reported anti-LGBT move by HUD.
