Kenya awaits ruling in landmark case to legalize gay sex.

When John Mathenge finished primary school in the early 1990s, he dreamed of becoming a lawyer. But his dreams were shattered when life showed him what being gay in Kenya meant. His sexual orientation was seen as sinful from childhood. Mathenge’s father refused to pay his secondary school fees, and he found himself homeless and unable to get even menial jobs, pushing him into sex work.

RuPaul doesn’t think transgender queens should compete on Drag Race after transitioning.

Peppermint became the first out trans woman to enter RuPaul’s Drag Race, with many other queens now openly identifying as transgender. But RuPaul isn’t sure about allowing those who have fully transitioned to enter the contest. The 57-year-old has called the topic of trans drag queens ‘an interesting area’, saying that while you can identify as a woman and do drag, he isn’t sure you can do drag with a female body.
