Washington State becomes 11th to ban ‘ex-gay’ conversion therapy.

Washington State Gov. Jay Inslee signed into law on Thursday a ban on “ex-gay” conversion therapy, making the Evergreen State the eleventh in the nation to prohibit the widely discredited practice for youth. Inslee signed the measure, SB 5722, at a ceremony in Olympia, Wash., making it illegal for licensed mental health therapists in engage in conversion therapy for individuals under the age of 18.

A study looking into trends in monogamy has found that a significant amount of millennial gay couples are more inclined to want to be in monogamous relationships. Conducted by Lanz Lowen and Blake Spears, the pair asked 832 gay male respondents aged 18-39 about their dating habits and what relationships they were seeking.

HRC Foundation Releases 2018 Healthcare Equality Index.

The HRC Foundation released the 11th edition of its annual Healthcare Equality Index (HEI), which scores healthcare facilities on policies and practices dedicated to the equitable treatment and inclusion of their LGBTQ patients, visitors and employees. A record 626 healthcare facilities actively participated in this year’s survey, committing to LGBTQ-inclusive policies and practices.
