Colorado bill to allow LGBTQ discrimination by adoption agencies fails in Senate.
A measure that would have let Colorado faith-based adoption agencies discriminate based on religious beliefs failed to clear the state Senate Tuesday. Senate Bill 241 died on a voice vote on second reading, with few votes in favor and a loud chorus of “nos.”

Wisconsin school crowns transgender student prom queen.
A Wisconsin high school made a transgender student’s dream come true when they chose her to be prom queen. Nikko Nelson, a transgender woman, was crowned Homestead High School’s prom queen last week in Mequon, Wisconsin without any opposition. She told WISN that her nomination and win came as an absolute shock.

There’s a gay wedding cake fight in the UK too!
A bakery run by evangelical Christians is to launch a fresh attempt to overturn a £500 award made against it for refusing to bake a cake promoting same-sex marriage. Ashers bakery, which has branches in Northern Ireland and is financially supported by the Christian Institute, is taking its claim to the supreme court on Tuesday, which is sitting in Belfast this week.
