Oreva Capital, the Los Angeles-based investment firm that recently bought marijuana enthusiast magazine “High Times,” has funded a management buyout of a handful of media brands catering to the gay community. Oreva has backed a management-led buyout of Here Publishing, which owns such titles as “The Advocate” and “Out,” with plans to grow its online and events business, Oreva CEO Adam Levin told Reuters in an interview this week.

Dr Mike Davidson claims to have been turned away from homosexuality by prayer, counselling and psychotherapy – and has been married to his wife for 35 years.

Dexter “3D” Pottinger, a Jamaican fashion designer and LGBT activist known as the “face of Pride” in his country, was found stabbed to death Thursday in his Kingston home, the Independent reports. “Blood was splattered everywhere,” a police inspector told the Jamaica Gleaner. Pottinger’s body, which had multiple wounds, was found facedown in his bedroom.

The campaign, with the hashtag #fodboldforalle, features soccer players, including national-team players, with a rainbow flag painted on their faces, according to TV2. Some of the athletes are speaking out as well.

Earlier this week, beauty giant L’Oréal Paris made headlines for hiring transgender model Munroe Bergdorf to appear in its YoursTruly True Match ad campaign. And now they’re making headlines several days later for parting ways with the 29-year-old British model after she wrote a lengthy post on Facebook in which she decried the “racial violence of … ALL white people.”
