I just finished reading The Black Penguin and strongly recommend everyone read Andrew’s story. The Black Penguin is about Andrew Evan’s 12,000 mile adventure from National Geographic Headquarters to Antarctica, all by public buses. This autobiographical adventure weaves in his struggles with growing up gay in the Mormon faith and his love for one man. The New York Times has it on their list of best travel books for the summer.
