Hong Kong gay and bisexual men now allowed to donate blood, with restrictions.

The Hong Kong Red Cross has announced a reversal of its policy banning gay and bisexual men from donating blood. Gay and bisexual men will now be allowed to donate blood, under the condition that they have not had sex with other men for a 12-month “safety period” starting from September 25.

Same-sex couples soon to be able to adopt in Israel.

The state on Sunday said it would submit a bill giving same-sex couples equal rights to adopt a child. It was responding to the High Court of Justice, which had given it two months to reconsider its opposition to same-sex adoption, and said that it would present the bill by June 2018.
