Grindr, once a safe place to make short term relationships, is now being used by Egyptian police as a tool to catch gay men. The men are lured into hotel rooms and arrested for sex crimes. For the past few months, Egypt has been arresting gay men using vague laws for sexual offenses. Up until this point, there is not actual law against homosexuality.
