Baylor football to hypothetical gay player – ‘You’re one of us’

Two years have passed since Baylor University changed its sexual conduct policy to drop specific references to homosexual acts in its code of student conduct. The change, a spokeswoman said at the time, came because “we didn’t believe the language reflected Baylor’s caring community.”

Gays go for the gold and win!

It’s been a summer to remember for three openly gay athletes, with two setting world records and a third winning a gold medal. It started in June when New Zealand rower Robbie Manson set a record in single sculls in winning the gold medal at the World Rowing Cup II in Poznan, Poland. Manson then won another gold medal a few weeks later at a world cup race in Switzerland.

The NFL is getting into the LGBT business.

The NFL today internally announced the launch of an LGBTQ employee affinity group, called NFL Pride. The new organization, which will officially launch Aug. 16, will be used to support LGBTQ employees and advise NFL executives on best practices for engaging on diversity issues.
